UPDATE: Man wanted for attempted murder in West Pensacola shooting
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) —
Escambia County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an early morning shooting that critically injured a man in the 500 block of Forest Park Drive.
Public Information Officer Deb Henley said deputies were dispatched to an incident just after 5 a.m. on Saturday. At the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at a home's front porch.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Darmichael Vershawn Turner.
EMS told WEAR Turner was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Henley said Turner was able to give some information on the suspect. The victim said he only knows the suspect as "B".
The sheriff's office has been able to determine that "B" is 28-year-old Barry Locklear III. He's now wanted for attempted murder.
Deputies set up a perimeter and deployed a K-9 team, but were not able to find Locklear.
Turner also told deputies he has not known the suspect for very long.
The sheriff's office said Locklear is considered armed and dangerous.
