New details emerge in arrest of Real Housewives star

Luann De Lesseps (PBSO)

PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPEC) - New details have emerged about the Real Housewives of New York star accused of causing some drama in Palm Beach over the holiday weekend.

Court recordings indicate at one point, Luann de Lesseps got violent with a police officer.

De Lesseps has apologized for her behavior after police say she acted out in front of an officer.

The Real Housewives star is familiar with this area because she got married here in 2016 to her now ex-husband.

The 52-year-old was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly intoxication, and corruption by threat.

A prosecutor says de Lesseps slammed a door on an officer and kicked at least one police officer, telling them, “I’m going to kill you.”

“I don’t know if you have a drinking problem, stop drinking," a judge told her during first appearance.

When de Lesseps tried to reply, the judge told her not to say anything because anything she said could be held against her in court of law.

He then released her on her own recognizance.

De Lesseps happened to be in Palm Beach the same weekend as her ex-husband Tom D’agostino, who was here for the holiday weekend with his girlfriend.

She recently divorced D’agostino this fall, and mentioned some of her feelings about this in a public apology via Twitter:

De Lesseps did have a much lighter holiday after the arrest.

TMZ released these photos Tuesday, showing her at a Christmas BBQ in Florida with her family.

De Lesseps is due back in Palm Beach County court Jan. 25.
