OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR-TV) — An EMS crew on the way to an emergency call were transported to a local hospital after their ambulance was hit by a truck.
According to Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), an Okaloosa County EMS crew was traveling north on Highway 85 on Wednesday when their ambulance was hit by a concrete mixing truck.
The report states the truck pulled out in front of the EMS and hit the ambulance while they were approaching Plympton Road.
The EMS driver and passenger were injured during the crash and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, says the sheriff.
OCSO reported the truck driver did not sustain injures.
The sheriff's office did not report if the driver of the truck will be cited for the accident.
Okaloosa County Sheriff's office are investigating the wreck.
