Pensacola Police Department (PPD) have arrested a suspect they believe is connected to a late-night shooting in a Pensacola neighborhood.

21-year-old Malique Elijah Snow, of Pensacola, was taken into custody Thursday in connection with the shooting, a bullet from which narrowly missed a man from a neighboring home.

According to a PPD arrest report, several PPD units responded to the Beau Terra Lane and Le Jeune Drive on Wednesday in regard to a report of shots fired.

Officers made contact with several occupants of a Le Jeune Drive residence, who told police that they had heard gunshots inside the residence and that a bullet hit a wall inside a bedroom where one of the occupants had been.

According to the report, one male resident told officers that as he was sitting in the living room of the residence, he heard someone knocking on the front door and possibly trying to turn the doorknob.

The resident stated to police that when he opened the door, he saw at least three subjects standing outside the door armed with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a shotgun.

Details of the PPD arrest report state that one of the subjects pointed the shotgun at the male resident, who slammed the door.

The resident told police that the subjects then entered the home and that he heard multiple gunshots as he ran for cover.

Report details also state that second male resident of the Le Jeune Drive home told PPD officers that when he walked into a hallway of the home, two male subjects pointed their firearms at him and began to shoot.

PPD officers confirmed in the report that they observed damage to the wall where the second male resident was standing and that it was apparent that the suspect was trying to shoot the resident.

The total damage inside the residence at Le Jeune Drive is estimated to be $1,150. Another resident of the home told officers that her $600 iPhone was also stolen during the shooting.

Additionally, two occupants of a Beau Terra Lane home also made contact with PPD at the scene, and officers observed what appeared to be damage consistent with gunfire to a vehicle at Beau Terra Lane, as well as to a residence at Chezarae Drive.

The arrest report states that during the investigation, Snow was identified as a possible suspect and was positively identified in a line-up as the suspect armed with the shotgun in the incident.

Snow is charged with felony crimes against a person, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, weapon offense, damage to property, and larceny. He is being held without bond at Escambia County Jail.
