Operation Santa Boat sails into the Florida Panhandle
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
Holiday cheer is being spread by the Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau in Northwest Florida with Operation Santa Boat.
Operation Santa Boat is a philanthropic effort designed to brighten the season for residents in Bay and Gulf Counties who were impacted by Hurricane Michael.
Operation Santa Boat will be going on from now until December 15th.
Anyone can donate unwrapped gifts for children or adults.
The gifts will then be delivered to Bay and Gulf Counties before Christmas by local fishing captains.
The Emerald Coast CVB has partnered with a number of local organizations to kick Operation Santa Boat into high gear.
