Pensacola Mardi Gras festivities set to kick off this weekend
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) —
Let the good times roll!
Mardi Gras in Pensacola is kicking off this weekend.
The weekend festivities start off Friday night with the Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Parade at 7:30 p.m. It'll take place downtown on Palafox and Government streets.
Saturday you can catch some beads and moon pies during the Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade, also in the downtown area. The parade has over 6,000 people who take part in the festivities. The parade takes place on Palafox and Garden streets. It's set to start at 2 p.m. and continues until around 6 p.m.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Krewe of Wrecks Parade on Pensacola Beach on Sunday. The parade starts at 1 p.m. and goes until around 5 p.m.
