Pensacola Woman throws a candle at man in rage

A Pensacola woman has been arrested for simple assault after throwing a candle at a man.

According to the arrest report, the victim and 30 year-old Devin Peacock were arguing over which child Pleasant would take to the store with him.

Peacock the went inside the house and grabbed the candle that was sitting on the kitchen counter.

She then went back outside to the car where the victim and their child was and threw the candle at him.

She missed the victim, but nearly hit the child.

In fear for the child, the victim attempted to direct Peacock to step away from the car, and in a rage she ripped his shirt.

Peacock lost her balance and fell in the road, and at this time she started to yell for the police.

According to the report, Peacock says she threw the candle because she was mad that the victim wouldn't take all of the children to the store.

She admitted to ripping the victim's shirt and starting the altercation.

Peacock was arrested for domestic violence and simple assault.

She did not cooperate after the arrest was made.

The report will be forwarded to the Department of Children and Family Services.
