ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR-TV) — A man is behind bars after he robbed, punched and kicked a woman for her backpack.
Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) arrested 38-year-old Timothy William Heinke for battery and robbery.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to 5300 block of West Jackson Street on January 17 regarding a disturbance.
The sheriff’s office says, deputies encountered a woman who appeared fearful, nervous, and angry.
The woman told deputies Heinke tried to take her backpack by force which contained her money, says the report.
Heinke said to the woman, in the report “[expletive], give me your money.”
When the woman tried to get away from Heinke, the report says he punched her on the left side of her head with a closed fist causing her to fall into a fence.
Heinke then kicked the woman after she fell to the ground, says the report.
The victim, stated in the report she was able to get up, run across the street to the store, and ask the clerk to call the police.
The woman told deputies in the report Heinke “should not be punching anyone because his hands are registered.”
According to the ECSO, the store clerk informed deputies the store may have captured the incident on video but she did not have access to the recordings.
The report states, the deputy did not observe any visible injuries to the victim and was unable to make contact with Heinke after the incident.
A warrant was issued for Heinke’s arrest.
Heinke was booked into the Escambia County Jail on Wednesday with no bond.
