Port of Pensacola: Helping the port evolve
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) —
The City of Pensacola is looking for ways to evolve the Port of Pensacola.
The city said the port is facing difficulties in efforts to remain a self-sustaining enterprise. They say the facility and infrastructure requires constant maintenance and upgrades to remain competitive.
City leaders hired the firm Moffatt and Nichol to develop a plan to help the port thrive over the next 50 years.
The planning team will hold a series of interactive work sessions where the community can give feedback and present ideas.
The first will be June 26 at city hall. A time has not been announced.
