'Potential dangers' spark concerns for Blue Angel flyover

A California official wants to ban the Blue Angels from flying over his city during practices and air shows following Thursday's deadly crash.

The stunt team is scheduled to perform in San Francisco during Fleet Week in October.

His proposed resolution would restrict the jets to the bay area.

"It's about the terror that they cause in people when they strafe neighborhoods. That's something I hear about all the time when Blue Angels fly overhead," Supervisor John Avalos told the SF Gate.

Avalos penned a similar resolution nearly 10 years ago after a deadly Blue Angels crash in South Carolina, according to the publication. That resolution failed.

Another supervisor told the publication their vote is pending the results of the crash investigation.
