ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A home on R Street in Escambia County, the site of a recent murder, stands no more.

It was demolished on Tuesday morning after a months-long investigation by county code enforcement.

The department told WEAR News last week that the property looked like a junk yard, full of trash and debris.

The homeowner says she had problems with squatters and drug use on the property as well.

On Mar. 11, Edward Mobley was found shot dead on the property.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office told WEAR News that since April 2020, they've made 63 arrests there and conducted two death investigations.

As for Mobley's death, the sheriff's office announced Chelsee Cicero was wanted for questioning.

Jail and court records show she was booked into the Escambia County Jail on Friday night in a separate case, and is being held without bond.

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons says while tearing down the home is a start, there still needs to be some "forward thinking" about what to do about the property to keep people from setting up camp and continuing the same thing.
