ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- An arrest report sheds more light on Tuesday's murder in Escambia County where a husband is charged with killing his wife and shooting a dog.
WEAR News reported Wednesday that 51-year-old Timothy Kramer was arrested for the murder of his 47-year-old wife Rosa Maria Kramer, as well as a dog, at a home at 2641Hillcrest Avenue. Rosa Kramer had been reported missing on Tuesday.
Timothy Kramer is charged with first-degree premeditated murder and aggravated animal cruelty.
WEAR News received the arrest report on Thursday, which breaks down how everything allegedly unfolded.
According to the report,Rosa recently left her husband Timothy about two weeks ago and had been living somewhere else.
The report states that around 6 a.m. Tuesday, she went to the Hillcrest Ave. home -- where she used to live and where Timothy was still residing -- to pick up some of her belongings. She intended to leave the house before Timothy returned home from work at 8 a.m.
A man told deputies he was worried about Rosa being around Timothy ever since she left him because "he began calling her and threatening to shoot himself if she didn't come back," according to the report.
The report states Timothy had been working overnight hours at the PetSmart on Davis Highway. But instead of returning home at 8 a.m., neighbors saw him return home at 5 a.m. and park his truck in the backyard, which he never reportedly does.
"It should be noted that given this time frame, Timothy would have arrived to the residence prior to the arrival of Rosa," deputies noted in the report. "It is reasonable to believe that Timothy attempted to conceal his vehicle behind the privacy fence in an effort to avoid Rosa from knowing he was present at the residence."
According to the report, a man reported Rosa missing to the sheriff's office when she never returned home, even though she had planned to take her father to his doctor's appointment.
The report states the man called and texted Rosa's phone several times to no answer. He eventually messaged her account on Facebook, where he received a reply saying she was having a drink at the beach -- which the man says seemed unusual.
According to the report, the man messaged back saying "Timothy better not have done anything," to which she received a reply of "He did nothing but give me my stuff and I left."
The report states deputies eventually pinged both phones, with no results on Rosa's. However, Timothy's pinged to a Milton apartment complex.
According to the report, Milton Police arrived and located Timothy at the complex, where a woman he was with informed police that Timothy told her he shot and killed Rosa.
The report states the woman told officers that Timothy contacted her saying he had just shot Rosa in self-defense. She advised him to contact law enforcement -- and he told her that he did, adding that deputies were at his home investigating it as a self-defense shooting.
According to the report, the woman allowed Timothy to come over to her Milton apartment since she believed he was telling her the truth. However, she later became suspicious of his story since he could not produce a police report or a card with a case number.
The report states they continued to watch TV until police arrived at her apartment, which is when she told officers Timothy shot and killed his wife. Deputies determined her story to be true and that she wasn't an accessory after the fact.
According to the report, after receiving this info from the woman, deputies went to the Hillcrest Ave. home where they found Rosa dead in a bedroom with two gunshot wounds -- one being to the head. They also found a severely injured dog walking around with a gunshot wound to the mouth area. It was taken by animal control to the vet for treatment, and is now recovering.
The report states deputies also found Rosa's vehicle abandoned at Bellview Ballpark -- which is 0.3 miles from the home.
According to the report, Timothy refused to speak to investigators at the sheriff's office and instead requested a lawyer.
He was extradited from Santa Rosa County Jail to the Escambia County Jail Wednesday afternoon and is being held without bond.
