A Santa Rosa County woman was arrested by deputies after a report says she struck a man in the face with a pool stick and then backed her truck into the victim in the parking lot.

According to the report Aliza Erin Spagnuolo, 41 was arrested by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO) for driving under the influence, aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated assault.

The report states on Friday SRCSO deputies were dispatched to the Gas Light Bar and Grill located at 4580 Gulf Breeze Parkway in reference to a disturbance.

When SRCSO arrived on the scene, the report states, a deputy observed Spagnuolo’s truck pulling out of the parking lot with a white male in the bed of the truck.

According to the report, when SRCSO initiated a traffic stop on Spagnuolo, she stated while she was playing pool at the bar, a white male that she did not know approached her and began yelling at her about the placement of the pool balls.

Spagnuolo said in the report, she later went to her truck to separate herself from the situation and then individuals from the bar came to her truck and started pounding on her windows.

The report says, the victim and his girlfriend were playing pool with Spagnuolo and when the game ended she walked up to the man and told him she was going to “beat his [expletive]” and then struck him in the face with the pool stick and headed towards her truck.

When the victim and his girlfriend tried to get the tag information off of Spagnuolo’s vehicle, the report says Spagnuolo started backing her truck towards the girlfriend and she had to jump out of the way to avoid getting hit.

While victim was on the phone with law enforcement, the report says, the victim told Spagnuolo she wasn’t going anywhere and the next thing he knew Spagnuolo was backing the truck at him and he jumped into the bed of the truck because he was afraid Spagnuolo was going to hit him with her vehicle.

The report revealed Spagnuolo was unaware that the victim was still in the bed of her truck when she drove off from the parking lot.

During the traffic stop, the report states, SRCSO detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Spagnuolo’s breath and when the deputy asked her to take the sobriety test she refused.

However, when Spagnuolo later stepped out of the truck, the report says she was swaying and had to grab on to the driver’s side door in order to stand.

Spagnuolo was arrested and booked into Santa Rosa County Jail and was given a total bond of $21,000.
