ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — The Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) is searching for a shooting victim for questioning.
On March 11, ECSO said deputies responded to the 8000 block of Tower Terrace in reference to a gunshot victim.
At the scene, deputies found 37-year-old Brian Anthony Stallworth suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.
Stallworth told ECSO two unknown people tried to break into his home and fired shots inside the home. He also reportedly told deputies a sleeping two-year-old was almost hit by one of the bullets.
ECSO said a subsequent search warrant on the home found a kilogram of cocaine, methamphetamine, Promethazine with Codeine, marijuana, a gun, and $20,000 in cash.
Stallworth was reportedly taken to a local hospital for treatment where he left on his own.
ECSO said they are looking for Stallworth for questioning only.
