Man still wanted in connection to 1984 Belle Glade, Fla. murder
BELLE GLADE, Fla. (CBS12) —
The FBI is still looking for a man wanted in connection to a killing in 1984.
Juan Dios Garza is still at large for his alleged involvement in the death of Ricardo Chavez on Oct. 21, 1984, according to investigators. He reportedly shot and killed Chavez, and wounded his brother, Juan.
Garza was charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder and a state warrant was issued for his arrest on Oct. 24, 1984. A federal arrest warrant was then issued by the U.S. District Court in Miami on Jan. 2, 1985, after Garza was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
