FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) -- Investigators released video of a man wanted for burning the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce, the same mosque attended by Orlando nightclub gunman Omar Mateen.

The video shows a man in a hat pulling up on a motorcycle, possibly a Harley-Davidson, just before midnight on Sept. 11, the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attack on America.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office said the man held a bottle of fluid and what appeared to be paper. Shortly after the man approaches the mosque, he runs away. The video shows a flash, indicating a fire.

The man sneaks through a fence and disappears.

Investigators also want you to take note of his pants, possibly blue-jeans. The back pockets have some sort of embroidery.

Firefighters had the fire out just after 5 a.m.

The flames caused heavy damage inside and outside the mosque.

Omar Mateen, the man who federal authorities say killed dozens of people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, went to the mosque. He was killed by police in a shootout after the mass shooting in June. Mateen bought several of his weapons at a gun shop in Jensen Beach.

Moner Mohammad Abu Salha, the American Taliban who became a suicide bomber in Syria, also went to the mosque.
