West Florida Tech Baseball peaking at right time

West Florida Tech baseball is within two wins of their first trip to the State Final Four.

The next step is against Mosley in Tuesday's 6A Region Semifinals. That's the same team that knocked the Jaguars out of the playoffs the last two years.

Both those games were in Panama City, this time it's in Pensacola.

A few weeks ago it didn't seem like West Florida would be in position for revenge. They were barely above 500 through 20 games, but they've caught fire down the stretch winning eight of their last nine.

The confidence to finally get past Mosley is sky high.

The pitching has been strong all season, led by senior JJ Pease, but a struggling offense has come around down the stretch.

Seniors Bryant Johnecheck and William Kaser are setting the pace at the plate, both hitting close to 400.

The veterans on the team, seven seniors, are all peaking at the right time.
