Ice Flyers respond with win

A night after being sharply criticized by Coach Rod Aldoff, the Ice Flyers responded with an impressive 5-2 win over Knoxville. The Flyers overcame an early 2-1 deficit to dominate the rest of the game.

Corey Banfield scored a goal and had two assists in his second game back from the injury list, and Jeremy Gates delivered three assists in his second game since coming out of retirement. On Friday the Flyers effort were questioned by Aldoff in a 4-3 loss, where the Ice Bears scored the winning goal with less than a second left.

The win came in the final home game of the regular season. The Flyers play at Macon on Sunday and close the regular season with two games at Knoxville next weekend.
