Bubba grabs third win of season
CROMWELL, Conn. (WEAR) —
Bubba Watson was six shots back to start the final round at the PGA's Travelers Championship in Connecticut. He knew that was within range because he came from six back there for his first PGA win in 2010.
The Milton High grad did it again, scorching the course with a final round seven under 63.
Watson took the lead with a birdie on 18 after nearly holing out from the fairway. With start of the day leader Paul Casey faltering down the stretch, Bubba ended up winning by three shots.
It's his third win at the Travelers, where he also won in 2015. Bubba, now with 12 career PGA victories and his three this season, is the most on tour.
