Dr. E. Gaylon McCollough has been a success in every aspect of life you can imagine. He played varsity football for Bear Bryant at Alabama from 1962-1964, winning a national championship along the way. For the past four decades, he has built a highly-successful practice as a facial plastic surgeon, now based on Foley, Alabama.

In the fall of 2017, he was the recipient of the prestigious Paul W. Bryant Alumni-Athlete Award, presented by the Alabama National Alumni Association to a former Crimson Tide athlete for, “character, contributions to society, professional achievement and service to fellowman.”

He has written 16 books. His latest is his memoir, “Victory in the Game of Life”. In it, Dr. McCollough shares the stories of his athletic, professional and spiritual life, and the lessons he’s learned from Coach Bryant, from his parents, and from others along the way.

Dr. McCollough will hold a book signing for “Victory in the Game of Life” at the Page and Palette in Fairhope, Friday, October 5, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Dr. McCollough sat down with Dan Shugart and talked about his book and Alabama football.
