UWF ends championship run with loss to Texas

The loss to Texas A&M for the NCAA D-II championship was heartbreaking for fans, coaches and especially players:

Saturday, Dec. 16th, 7:52- 4th Quarter and Final:

After some back and forth and a few hopeful moments in the 4th quarter, UWF ended their history-making run at the NCAA D-II National Championship with a loss to Texas A&M- Commerce, with a final score of 37-27.

Saturday, Dec. 16th, 7:52 PM - Third Quarter:

UWF fought back hard at the start of the second half, but still ended the third quarter behind Texas A&M Commerce, 34-20.

Saturday, Dec. 16th, 6:00 PM - Second Quarter:

After a shaky start, UWF was able to narrow Texas A&M's lead, ending the 1st half just behind the Lions, 20-14.

Meanwhile, back in Pensacola, Channel 3's Jamarlo Phillips reported live from a UWF watch party in Seville Quarter, where students and fans gathered to cheer on the Argos.

Saturday, Dec. 16th, 5:00 PM - Kickoff & First Quarter:

The Argos had a rough start to the game after winning the coin toss, ending the first quarter trailing behind Texas A&M Commerce, 14-7.

Channel 3's Steve Nissim got a close-up look inside Children's Mercy Park as the Argos held their pre-game warm up.

Saturday, Dec. 16th, 3:00 PM - Argos Arrive at Children's Mercy Park:

The day of the big game is finally here, and the UWF football team was greeted at the stadium in Kansas City with overwhelming support from a crowd of fans.

The crowd gathered for the team's arrival and enjoyed some tailgating outside of Children's Mercy Park on Saturday afternoon.

As the team arrived, they did a pre-game "Argos Walk", high-fiving their excited fans as they passed by.

Channel 3's Steve Nissim will be live from Children's Mercy park with the Argos as they prepare to take on Texas A&M Commerce in the NCAA Division II National Championship at 5 p.m.
