UWF's Jackson in line to take quarterback job

UWF's debut football season had the luxury of a veteran quarterback. Kaleb Nobles delivered massive numbers in the air - almost 300 yards a game.

He's now an assistant coach, so they'll be a new starting quarterback for the Argos.

Grey Jackson is definitely the front runner. The sophomore from Fairhope saw action in nine games as the backup last season.

Officially, sophomore Mike Beaudry is still in a battle for the number one spot, but it seems like Jackson is in the driver’s seat. Jackson is most known for his running ability.

That's an added element of this offense. Coming off a broken collarbone in high school, his arm strength was never 100 percent last year.

It is now, and Jackson looks ready to take over.
