Wahoos win game one of the playoffs, 2 - 1

The Blue Wahoos are playing for the championship of the Southern League, at least a share of it is because of Hurricane Irma and the travel concerns that could impact Jacksonville.

The league has decided the two divisional series will be it; no championship series after this.

The winners of the Wahoos-Jumbo Shrimp and the North Division Series between Chattanooga and Montgomery will be declared co-champions.

The Wahoos won 2 - 1.

There are also changes to the series schedule.

Game two will be played as scheduled Thursday night, but the series will not move back to Jacksonville.

Instead, game three will be Friday at 1 p.m in Pensacola. This game will be free, but they're asking for donations to Hurricane Harvey victims.

If necessary, there will be a game four and five.

Game four would be scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. in Biloxi. Game five would be Sunday at 1 p.m. in Bilox.
