Brent Kearney

Brent Kearney, a Central New York native, is thrilled to join the WEAR team and call Pensacola home.

Before moving to Florida, Brent was a Multimedia Journalist for WKTV In Utica, New York.

While there, he helped cover the area’s controversial Congressional race in 2020 as well as flooding that devastated part of the Mohawk Valley in 2019.

Brent’s love for Broadcasting and Journalism began in high school where he wrote for the school paper and took part in the school’s broadcasting club.

Brent then went to Onondaga Community College in Syracuse where he received his Associate's Degree in Electronic Media Communications.

He then went to Ithaca College where he got his Bachelor’s degree in Television-Radio.

While at Ithaca, Brent had the opportunity to intern out in Los Angeles for a Documentary Production Company called Rugged Entertainment and took part in the school’s student-run television network, ICTV.

When Brent’s not doing the news, you’ll more than likely find him soaking up the sun on Pensacola Beach, going to the gym, and exploring all of what the Sunshine State has to offer.
